SoLiss Line

What is it?

In August 2019, HairSoSimple launched a new line of 1 Step Straightening products: the SoLiss Line.

Straightening of just 1 step that incorporates the innovative active “ProLiss100H”, responsible for obtaining straight hair and eliminating frizz, providing shine and leaving the hair with a natural look. The Macadamia and Coconut Oils, together with the Wheat Germ Extract included in its formula, provide hair with nourishment and smoothness, with the hair conditioning and antioxidant effect, leaving hair naturally smooth, shiny and strengthened.

The entire SoLiss product line was formulated to be highly concentrated, giving a greater number of uses both to the professional (with the Straightener) and to the end customer (with the Homecare product range), thus providing greater profitability to all stakeholders .

The SoLiss 1-Step Straightener has been in development for about 20 months, being a thermodynamic smoothing, using the latest advances in nanotechnology, completely devoid of formaldehyde or its derivatives and made based on soft citric acids conjugated in the molecule “ProLiss100H”. The particles of this molecule, several times smaller than those regularly used in conventional straighteners, are reduced in such a way that they penetrate the hair fibers without any movement in the “hair scales” or “opening of the hair cuticles” to guarantee the permeability of the hair. product in the hair.

As a consequence, at the end of the procedure it will also not be necessary to seal those same “scales” or “capillary cuticles”. This achieves a huge reduction in the usual service time of a Straightening, breaking with the procedures of the past and simplifying the service.

Step-by-Step with Technical Explanation

Step 1.

Step 1.

Shake the product before use.

The product should be applied to clean, dry hair. Preferably, the end customer should wash his hair the night before the straightening service with his usual shampoo and let it dry naturally. Masks or finishers should not be applied.

If you prefer to wash in the salon before starting the procedure, you should use a shampoo without salt and wash only 1 time. Do not use a waste shampoo or
cleaning. You don’t want to mess with the hair structure, just clean it. Dry your hair 100%, without brush, at the end of the wash.

Step 3.

Step 3.

At the end of the pose time:

  • Create an emulsion with lukewarm water on the hair, massage the product into the hair in order to shade it evenly.
  • With a fine-toothed comb, remove excess product from the hair.
  • Dry the hair with a brush and blow dryer in order to untangle the strands and flat iron it, in very thin strands at least 15 times. This number depends on the strength of the hair, the power of the board and the temperature at which it is working.
  • Pass the straightening iron until the hair is clean, loose and shiny.
Step 5.

Step 5.

Straightening customers should wash their hair with SoLiss Shampoo and Conditioner and at the end dry their hair 100% with a hot dryer and fingers.

SoLiss straightening works in a thermodynamic way, with heat activating the molecules responsible for the hair strand to remain smooth, and these same molecules being replaced by the conditioner. The longevity of the straightening will only be guaranteed if the SoLiss maintenance range is used and subsequently 100% drying of the hair, after each wash.

The SoLiss Moisturizing Mask was developed as a hydration complement for straightened but very sensitive hair. It must always be used before the conditioner.

The entire Homecare SoLiss product range was designed to work with any straightening technology, or to reduce volume in hair without straightening.

Bleaching and cutting services must be performed before the straightening service. It is advisable that technical services are not performed on the same day as the straightening, so that there is no risk of tampering with the straightening result.

If the client wishes to dye his hair after straightening, he can do it with a Tom on Tom. However, a waiting period of 15 days is recommended for any technical service on the hair.

Step 2.

Step 2.

With clean and dry hair, divide into sections.

Shake the product before use. Place the SoLiss Straightener in a bowl. You should start by adding 25gr and adding it if necessary. On average, a 30cm hair should consume between 30gr to 60gr of product, depending on its density.

Apply the Straightener with a brush in locks, 1 cm from the hair root. After applying to some locks, pass them a very fine comb to remove the excess product and pass it on still dry locks. As the product is applied to dry hair, it absorbs it to the limit of its capacity, and any product that is visible on the hair is excess, and should be transferred to dry locks. At the end of the application of the Straightener, it is intended that the hair appears moist, but not with excess product.

Comb all the hair with the fine comb, straightening the strands. Leave in pose for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the type of hair (Hair more sensitive or with technical services: 45 minutes; Thick, natural or resistant hair: 60 minutes).

Step 4.

Step 4.

At the end of flattening all the hair, the service is complete. The hair should be light, loose, tinted and shiny.

Pass the flat iron until the hair is clean, loose and full of shine.

We reinforce that care must be taken not to apply excess product, as the heat of the board will dilate the thread so that, at the end of the pose time, the rest of the product can penetrate, but any excess product will have to be evaporated with the board, creating unnecessary fumes and wasting product and time. When properly applied, the product hardly releases steam when boarding.

The first wash must be carried out 48 hours after the straightening service, with SoLiss maintenance products. During the period between the straightening service until the first wash, if there is a need to correct any defect in the service, just re-iron the locks where there is any irregularity, reactivating the product that has not yet been washed.

The longevity of the straightening will only be guaranteed if the maintenance is carried out with the products of the Homecare SoLiss range, since it is through its use that the maintenance and molecular replacement necessary for the conservation of the hair smooth, reactivated by the heat of the hair dryer every wash.

Before and After

FAQs

What Longevity of Straightening?

Straightened hair will remain straight with the use of the Homecare SoLiss maintenance range. In a period of 4 to 6 months, hair growth will cause deformations in the aspect of straightening, namely at the root level.
The smoothing procedure can only be carried out on the new growth that appeared in that period, applying the product only at the root. At the end of the pose time, emulsify the product with a little water and massage the lengths and ends. Dry and straighten 15 times on new growth, and half of those times, straighten all hair continuously from root to tip.

How to choose the right board?

Since SoLiss 1-Step Straightening works through thermodynamic properties, the board and the consistency of the heat applied during the straightening service is extremely important. The board used must reach 230ºC in less than 35 seconds, and its power must always be greater than 40W, to ensure that between passes the board has enough power to recover the established working temperature.
Wide, infrared or steam boards should not be used.

Why did the hair become dull and heavy at the end of the service?

One of the potential reasons for this effect is the excess product applied. The product should be stretched better in the next application. This effect does not harm the straightening service as long as you have straightened all the hair, but it is a sign that too much product was applied to the hair, which subsequently was neither absorbed nor evaporated when straightening.
Another reason for this effect to happen may be because you are laying too thick locks. You should plan fine locks at a time. If at the end of the service, you think you should have straightened in thin strands, you should immediately straighten all the hair again, in thin strands about 5 times to make sure that the product has penetrated all the hair strands.

The client claims that the straightening is not well.

On the day of the service, the entire procedure went accordingly, and the first washing and drying did not change the initial result. However, after weeks, the straightening began to gain irregularities. What could have happened?

If in the first wash, the hair after being 100% dry with a hairdryer is smooth, the straightening service was carried out successfully. If after a while it starts to gain waves or curves, a series of situations may have occurred, usually due to lack of care or maintenance of the service.

It is necessary to carry out an analysis and screening of the possible causes of these non-conformities, and the client must be questioned point by point:

  • Did the customer use SoLiss Shampoo and Conditioner? The service’s longevity is only guaranteed with the use of the respective Homecare SoLiss maintenance range, due to the molecular replacement that occurs in its use.
  • After each wash, did the customer always dry his hair 100%? Customers should always be informed that straightening just 1 Step SoLiss does not consist of chemical processes, but thermodynamics, to obtain the desired result. Therefore, it is essential to dry your hair 100% after each wash, in order to continuously reactivate the molecule responsible for altering capillary behavior. If the client exposes his hair to moisture, or wash it, allowing it to dry naturally afterwards, there is a strong likelihood that the straightening effect will start to fade.

When any defect in straightening is caused and detected in the first 48 hours after the service is performed, and before the product is washed, to correct it, just flatten the hair again to reactivate the product.
